Somewhere along the widening gyre of the debris that pervades our public discourse, the madness that dominates our everyday dialogue, and the strife that fuels our inconsolable differences, lies a field out beyond the ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, a field where the center holds.
Welcome to The Septum, the center that holds, a media and publication company focused on creating content that fosters the art of communication in many forms such as writing, podcasts, videos, and more.
The Septum is focused on different aspects of our lives in the way in which they compose into a gestalt of holistic consciousness and agreeable differences. We are building these pieces from the ground up, into a whole of meaningful interactions and conversations that subvert conventional wisdom. And some complicated ideas you won’t be hit over the head with and may even find interesting.
One of the things we've always found fascinating and that we intend to light up is the false narrative that builds up the legitimacy of incomplete stories. In other words, we are really thrilled about the incredible power of conversations. And not for nothing, you see. It is impossible to split the Red Sea of conflicts to the promised land when the safe passage of empathy is prejudiced with dusted intentions rife with the grimes of misinformation. But it doesn’t have to be. We can do better.
Why The Septum
Simple.
For us, the usual stories do not quite fit the reality we are trying to describe. We want to tell our stories in ways that matter, ways they haven't been told, ways that we would have told them if "History wasn't Written by Victors."
Now we can. And we will.
But this isn't just about storytelling, it is ultimately about a different perspective. One that exposes the realities of our very existence and prosecutes the false narrative that misinforms how we talk about certain topics and ideas in [modern] society. Brace for impact.
We are launching The Septum today, so travel with us on this journey of cultural and artistic liberation. Join us in embracing the tales that really matter, the ones that stay with us. Swim with us in this tributary of varieties as we merge into the ocean of understanding.
And maybe we can understand what it means to be there, from here. Or you can understand here, from there. And if we can't, we can meet at the center that holds.
Come along.
